Unfortunately we experience much to frequent that guests miss their flights. For this reason we would like to inform you about the most important intending supports. Please be punctual at the airport at your flight day. Please be at least 2 hours before there and make your check in. Only after you have delivered your luggage you can make your shoppings in the Duty Free Shop or drink a coffee. However please do not forget during your purchase intoxication that you enter the plane for your vacation.

MONEY-PASSPORT-TICKET
You must keep your money at a safe place. We recommend you a purse which you can hang around your neck and under your clothes. Purses which are carried in back part ashes , are very attractive repositories for thieves in the whole world. A further suggestion is that you distribute your money in smaller quantities at your body , so that you have still some money with yourselve, if it should come nevertheless to a misfortune.
Flight ticket and passport:

- If you think to rent a car at your vacation it is recommendable to use agencies locally. This is usually more favorable than as in your homeland. However you should pay attention to the insurance and your rights. In addition, stranger agencies work also conscientiously and professionel.
- You should never keep only all your money in your purse. In emergencies you should always have little bit money on the side.
- If you are in a country where generally english language is few spoken, you could get advices in your hotel.
- You should always have something change for the porters in your pocket. Please do not forget that giving tip belongs to the good behaviour.
- Take a dictionary with the other language with you. Who knows maybe you could learn a second language in your vacation country.
- Usually the prices are cheaper in southern countries than in your homeland. That can be much for your advantage.
- If you should be pupils and/or student, you can procure yourselves an internationally recognizable document of identification. The reason is that you receive privileges in many institutions such as museums.
Passport & Visas:
A visa is required for citizens of Austria, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain and Italy. This can be obtained at your port of entry.
Money:
The currency unit used is Turkish Lira. There is no limit on the amount of foreign currency that can be brought in. Credit cards are welcome in most hotels, restaurants, and major stores. In rural areas, however, they may not be accepted. Traveler’s cheques can also be easily cashed at any bank and most stores. Foreign currency can be changed in banks and also exchange offices.
Working Hours:
European standards apply. Monday to Friday are the working days, Saturday and Sunday are the week-end holidays, but on Saturdays most of the stores stay open. During the religious and secular holidays government, private offices, banks, and major stores are closed.

Post & Telecommunications:
Postal and telecommunications services in Turkey are handled by the PTT (Directorate of Post, Telephone and Telegraph). The PTT offers many different services: express and parcel mail, registered mail, telegram, facsimile and telex. Short or long distance phone calls, can be made from the PTT or you can purchase tokens and phone-cards for use in public phones.
Electricity:
Voltage is 220, with 110 in some places, 50 cycles as in Europe. Plugs are european style, i.e. two-round prongs. However, there are two sizes in use, the small-diameter prong and large-diameter prong.
Time:
Turkish time is 2 hours ahead of GMT and 7 hours ahead of Eastern Standard time, except in the warm months when clocks are turned one hour ahead.
Water & Food:
You can buy bottled spring water everywhere in different sized clear plastic bottles. Tap water is highly chlorinated and good for general use. Turkish cuisine offers you a wide variety, of delicious food.
Climate & What to Wear:
The climate of Turkey has a specialty of its own. Because of the difference in altitude all four seasons can be seen in Turkey. Ask your travel agent what to expect. At all times of the year, you are expected to observe the proper respect for any place of worship (like the mosques) by covering both the shoulders and legs, and in the case of women the hair.
